Hi) this week also had the English club, the prayer meeting, the small group and the meeting of small groups as were at the last week. But I was not at those meetings, because I caught a cold. God stopped me this week, closing at home) 

Вчера в Краснодар приехали ребята, которые развивают христианское движение в других городах. К сожалению я с ними не смог познакомиться, чтобы не заразить их простудой. Мы уехали к моим родителям, оставим миссионерам наши квартиры, чтобы им было где остановиться )

Yesterday Josh's friends came to Krasnodar. They develop a Christian movement in other cities. Unfortunately I was not able to meet them, so as not to infect them with a cold. We went to my parents, so they had a place to stay)

Недавно прочитал такую фразу: "Можно быть сверхзанятым - и неэффективным".

Recently I've come across these words: "You can be extremely busy - but stay uneffective". 

Сейчас уделяю время, чтобы анализировать, читать, молиться о том, чтобы начать новое студенческое движение в университете, рядом с которым мы сейчас живём. Надеюсь, что через этот процесс Бог научит правильно выбирать, куда тратить время, и говорить некоторым классным идеям "нет", чтобы не сбиваться с видения (понимаю, что сбиваюсь с видения чаще, чем можно).

That is why right now I try to devote my time to analyzing, reading and praying about starting a new student movement in the university, near which we live now. I hope that through this process God will teach me to manage my time and to make right choices, so that I could stick to this vision and not get distracted from it by other ideas and projects (I always have lots of ideas and get distracted by them pretty often).

Благовестие интеллектуальному парню

По воскресеньям после собрания в церкви мы с друзьями обычно общаемся в торговом центре. У нас есть друг, который уже давно знаком с нами, но никак не решится отдать свою жизнь Иисусу. В этот раз на такое воскресное общение он пришел со своим другом. Его друга зовут Юра, как меня.

On Sundays after church we usually go to a mall with a large group of young people from church to have lunch and fellowship with each other. We have a friend Zhenya, whom we’ve known for a long time already, but who hasn’t made a decision to give his life to Jesus yet. Last Sunday Zhenya brought with him his non-believing friend, whose name is also Yura, like mine.

Оказалось, что он учился в том же университете и на том же факультете, что и я. Мы (я и мои верующие друзья) долго общались с Юрой. Юра очень умный парень, и его знания мешают ему поверить в Христа. Юра был очень удивлен, что мы тоже много знаем, но наши знания не мешают нам верить в Христа.

It turned out that Yura had studied in the same university and at the same faculty as me. Our friends and I had a long conversation with Yura. He is a very smart guy, and his knowledge stops him from believing in Jesus. Yura was very surprised to see so many young people who are also smart and well-educated, but still believe in God and love Him.

Бог что-то делает со здоровьем Юры. В начале учебного года у Юры начала сильно болеть спина, от спины появился хрип в правом ухе, а недавно начали сильно болеть ноги. Все это, а особенно последнее, сильно усложняет Юрино служение, потому что многое в его деятельности связано с хотьбой.

God is doing something with Yura's health. Yura's spine started to hurt very much at the beginning of this school year. His right ear started to ache because of the spine (there is some connection between nerves). And recently his feet started to hurt badly, too. It is hard for him to serve with this pain, because he usually has to walk a lot.

Юра проверяется в больнице, но врачи не могут найти точную причину его болезни, чтобы начать лечение.

He went to hospital, but the doctors couldn't find out the reason of his pain and they couldn't treat him.

My schedule is usually very busy with many appointments on discipleship and counseling. But this January was very unusual for me. God gave me a break from appointments (some girls left the city, some are busy now, etc.) – except for my small group for girls – and, to my big surprise, He gave me desire, time and inspiration to write! 

For the first 10 days of January I wrote for my blog  nikoshechka.blogspot.ru. God gave me an idea of a project “Thoughts on Christmas”. I studied everything the Bible says about Christmas and wrote an article every day: a reflection on what this or that text about the birth of Jesus teach us about Him. I hoped that this Bible study will help my readers get to know Jesus better, understand in a deeper way Who He is – and to fall in love with Him a little more. A few girls were very grateful for this project; they said God showed them a lot through these articles. And that was a huge encouragement for me to continue writing!

Now I decided to write a new article on counseling with questions for the readers to ask themselves or a Bible study every Tuesday.

Also, maybe some of you remember, that last Summer God gave us an opportunity to publish a fairy tale I wrote in 2011. We give the booklets to students we meet, to our friends – and it is a good way to build relationships and start spiritual conversations with them. And now the Lord gave me an idea for a new fairy tale. I started to work on it on Wednesday!

Please pray that the Lord would write through me, using me as His pencil! And that He would touch people’s hearts and inspire people through the fairy tales and the articles on my blog!

Летом я (Ворошилов Юра) простудил нервы на спине. Теперь у меня есть проблемы со здоровьем, езжу по больницам.

Я обращаюсь к врачам, понимая, что мое выздоровление зависит только от Бога.
Поэтому прошу вас молиться за мое и Никино здоровье Господу, чтобы Он исходил наши тела, и они не обременяли нас.

Также молитесь, пожалуйста, за Толу и Дженни с той же просьбой.

Один парень из нашего движения Пульс думает стать миссионером

Сегодня я общался с ним его супругой о его желании стать миссионером. Это замечательное желание! Тем более со стороны видно, что у него есть дары, таланты и потенциал для такой деятельности. А самое главное, что у него есть желание пойти по этому пути.

Помню, когда я решался на этот шаг (отказаться от своей прежней профессии и полновременно заниматься миссионерской деятельностью), мне было очень сложно, потому что было много страхов и сомнений, хотя, я чувствовал четкий призыв Божий двигаться в этом направлении.

Слава Христу, что Он послал мне жену, которая уже занималась полновременной миссионерской деятельностью! Это знакомство и осознание того, что мы будем делать это вместе, очень помогло мне оторваться от прошлого представления своей жизни и перестроиться.

Слава Христу за его решение! Я (Ворошилов Ю) был очень рад услышать от него это! Ника, когда услышала, тоже была очень рада.

Надеемся, что у него все получится )) Надо молиться за него, чтобы дьявол не сбил его с пути, либо чтобы Господь остановил его, если Ему это не угодно.

У меня и Ники проблемы с желудком

В этот момент вспоминаются стихи из Библии, в которых Павел говорит, что у многих апостолов были проблемы с желудком... это обнадеживает ) Надеюсь, что Господь смилуется над нами, и наши тела не будут обременять нас, не будут болеть.

На данный момент Ника начала обследование в больнице. Сегодня нам пришлось изменить расписание дня, потому что боль стала сильной, терпеть невозможно. Раньше мы все время откладывали лечение, потому что всегда много дел ))

Молитесь, пожалуйста, за наше здоровье.

Общение с Кармэном

К нам в город приезжал Кармен. Он наш друг с 2008 года, когда он с группой американских студентов впервые приезжал в Краснодар на летний проект.

Тогда я (Ворошилов Юра) и мой друг (Юра, который в красной клетчатой рубашке на фото) были неверующими.

Кармен стал нашим хорошим другом. В этот год он приезжал для повышения своего уровня русского языка, учился в Москве.

Я был очень рад, что на этой встрече был парень, который был одним из лидеров христианского движения до моего появления в нем, но сейчас он отошел от Христа. Один Бог знает, что у него в сердце.

Я молюсь, чтобы он обратился обратно и служил Ему верой и правдой. Молитесь со мной об этом!

God leads to a video blog :)

Recently, God gives to understand that we have to work on the Internet. At the moment we are  lesding the evangelistic blog "Where's curiosity may come" but more often think about what you need to shoot video, I already wrote about this 9,02,2013.

I began to delve into this area, explore YouTube, and on occasion a wonderful (although we know that God has organized this event) on the last coffee Knight went looking for the guy who runs his video blog. I wrote about my participation in his video conference.

This guy is looking for a dialogue with Christians, he wants to help in the management Coffee Knight. Recently my friend and I met him. It was a good time for relationship building, evangelism, the answers to his spiritual questions, and learn about his experience of doing a blog.

Now I think and pray about this opportunity, the Lord willing, I want this year to start work on a video blog (take a short Bible study, or just answers from a Christian point of view on issues of interest to young people).

Please pray for me and this project. The Lord saw all the necessary equipment and gave the time.

Christian Fight Club - men's time

I've been worrying for many guys for a while, I kept thinking about how I could help them in their spiritual journey, be helpful for those who are seeking the truth. But I could not think of a form, that would be suitable for them - there was an inner struggle inside of me.
  

Two desires were fighting in me:

1. To help my friends in their process of seeking God, in studying the Bible, getting to know God. 

2. To share the Gospel with people in the streets, since many haven't heard anything about God. 

For the past two months my friend, a missionary, has been giving seminars to share his vision  about the importance of small groups and about why it is better than super evangelism. I already wrote about it (here are my notes from the first and the second seminar). 

Through these seminars God confirmed me in my first wish - to start a men's club (a small group for guys who don't know God yet, but are interested in Christianity), even though I still have inner struggle.  

Because of those desires and ideas fighting inside of me, and for many other reasons as well, I thought of a name for these small group meetings "Christian Fight club". 

By this moment (April 16, 2013), we have already met twice. Of course it is not Coffee Night with 200 people coming there, but I praise God for this time! Those few guys who come are really seeking God, they truly want to understand the purpose of their lives, they don't want to stop until they get to know God! Praise Christ! 

Pray for this small group, so that the Lord would bless the guys and reveal Himself to them !

На прошлый Вечер Кофе пришло около 200 человек. В этот раз мы много подготавливались к этому вечеру, старались учесть все недочеты прошлого раза.

About 200 people came to the last Coffee Night. This time we davoted a lot of time to prepare the new Coffee Night program, trying to consider all the pluses and minuses of the last event. 

Мы больше месяца интенсивно готовились, и завтра наконец состоится это грандиозное мероприятие, а сегодня наши ребята наряжают зал.

We have been working on it for over a month, and this great outreach event will finally take place tomorrow! Even at the moment a group of us responsible for decorating the hall, where Coffee Night will be held, is working hard on it!

Молитесь, пожалуйста, за нас и за ребят, которые придут. Чтобы мы смогли достигнуть нашу цель - познакомиться с новыми людьми, многие из которых впервые войдут в здание церкви, немного узнать их и пригласить их на другие встречи и мероприятия, где мы сможем продолжить строить отношения и донести до них Евангелие!

Please pray for us and for the people who will come tomorrow. Pray that we could  reach our main goal - meet new people, for many of whom it will be their first time to enter a church, get to know them a little and invite them to other meetings where we could build deeper relationships and share the Gospel with them!

Our friend is persecuted for her faith by her own family! Her parents have always been against her faith, so she could not openly go to church. She had to run away from home to get baptized secretly a few months ago.

But the other day her family found out that she has Christian friends and that she is studying the Bible. So they burned her Bible, took away her mobile phone and locked her at home so that she wouldn’t communicate with believers anymore!!!

She managed to let us know what happened though… This sounds unbelievable – especially since she is not a child, and since we live in a Christian country and our constitution promises freedom of belief… But it is true. 

Please, please join us in prayer! Pray especially for her heart and for her parents to see God’s love and light through her reaction to the persecution!!

Please, pray for the team that is in charge of English Movie Night

Every week our teammates organize English Movie Night in our church building. This weekly event always attracts new people - praise God!

 This Thursday we watched "Slumdog Millionaire". And after the movie there was a discussion - as always. 

Please pray for the team that is in charge of English Movie Night. They've been doing it for a few years already almost every week! And of course they are getting tired.  

Pray for those who are obsessed with desire to find a spouse

Another prayer request: please pray for the single guys and girls involved with our movement. Many of single young people start longing for relationships and suffer because of that, and some make mistakes because of that…

Especially I ask you to pray for one guy, who has such a strong desire to get married for 2 years already, that he can think of nothing else… Devil literally made him blind with this unhealthily strong desire. I feel really sorry for him, but can’t do anything to help him right now… Only God can help him.

This Saturday, March 2, we are helping organize a conference for singles in our church. It’s goal is to help young people (both believers and non-believers) understand God’s view upon love, relationships, marriage and singleness. Pray that God brings there those whom He wants to tell something there – and that He would use the speakers mightily!

Hello, Friends :) Here are some of our plans and prayer requests for the coming month.

We are preparing a big outreach event – Coffee Night on March 23. It will be dedicated to Man’s Day and Women’s Day – some of the biggest Russian holidays. 

Besides, we are just about to start an internet contest the goal of which is to attract people to reading our outreach blog http://dorogakbogu.blogspot.com/2013/02/bolshie-gonki.html, This contest will last the whole month of March. 

We are also going to use this contest to invite its participants to Coffee Night. 

Please pray that the Lord would give us enough strength to fulfill all of that. And that He would bring those people He wants to us – and that we would be ready to accept everyone He brings, whether it’s a lot or few.

Our activity with blog “Where curiosity can bring”

Hello, friends! Here is what is happening in Krasnodar and in our movement.

1. Right now there are less events in our movement then usually, because January is full of  holidays and days-off, and students have exams this month. Besides, many of our friends – both students and working people – have vacations now. So right now there are just weekly meetings of our 3 home groups (small groups for believers, where they also invite their non-believing friends who want to see Christian fellowship) on Wednesdays, and also some informal meetings where people can get to know each other better and share their lives with each other. 

2. I use this time to develop our outreach internet project – blog called “Where curiosity can bring”. The way we use the blog as an outreach tool is that there we write articles on various topics which might be interesting to young people (relationships, movies, work, famous people, news etc.). We regard each issue from God’s point of view, and thus share the Gospel and Biblical truth with the readers. Right now I advertise the pages of the blog in various social networks. For the past couple of days the number of people subscribed to read the blog grew from 98 to 214. And for now I’ve already written to more than 400 of my “friends” in social networks personally – which is also a good way to start talking to those of them I don’t really know and don’t usually talk to. I’ve already managed to start spiritual conversations with some of them through asking them to subscribe to my blog. Praise God! I still have many more people to write. Please pray that I have enough energy and patience to finish this work. By the way, in the attached picture you can see a half of our bloggers team. There is 14 people on our team. All of us write articles for the blog. 

PLEASE PRAY for vision for us for the new semester, and also for all the people involved with our Christian youth movement – that those who don’t know Him yet would come to know Jesus through us and though our blog

HelloJ We want to tell you a little about what’s going on with us now.

I.                    As soon as we (Yura &Nika) got back to Krasnodar, different people from our church started coming up to us offering to help them in their ministries. For example, they asked us to organize a conference for single young people. We are not sure if we will agree to do it or not yet, since we have many other ministry plans now. But we are still thinking about it.  

II.                 As you might remember, we told you about Coffee Nights – big outreach events which attract a lot of young people (last time there were over 200 people) to church. There are 2 news about this event:

1.      At the last Coffee Nights (on December 15) we had guests – Christian youth groups from different cities (Rostov, Novorossiysk, Kropotkin etc.) who came to see and learn how to organize such events. After that our brothers and sisters from Kropotkin organized their first Coffee Night in their hometown! There were 50 people there, and 30 of them were non-believers! We praise God for that! Share our joy – that is the fruit of our common prayers and work!

2.      The group of 6 of our teammates (including Yura), that is responsible for planning and organizing Coffee Night, is very tired, because the event needs a lot of preparation and energy. Some members of the Coffee Night team decided to leave it, others are thinking and asking God whether they should keep going or take a break to rest. Please pray for them to make the right decision!

III.               I (Yura) invest my time and energy into developing our outreach blog dorogakbogu.blogspot.com. This is a hard and time-consuming process! Please pray that I would be able to do this work well and have enough energy to accomplish all the necessary tasks. We are planning to organize various contests through this blog in order to attract young people to it, to get to know them, invite them to our youth movement and share the Gospel with them.

We sincerely thank everyone who supports and participates in our Christian youth movement,  prays for it and for us! We praise Jesus for you!

БВ в торговом центре

Познакомился с этим парнем несколько лет назад в трамвае.

С тех пор мы периодически общались.

Он не очень воспринимал Евангелие, но в этом году сам нашел меня и просил поговорить с ним об Иисусе Христе.

Было бы здорово, если бы Господь обратил его к Себе, но пока у него "каша в голове" из разных учений, которые он читал, которые он пытается выстроить в единую линию.

Молитесь за него.
