Hello, Friends!

The last couple of months were filled with events, so I’d like to share some news with you.

1. In the middle of the May we had guests from America – a group of students that came to Krasnodar on a Summer Project. We had 2 great weeks together! In the morning we would go and meet students on 3 largest campuses of the city, and after lunch we organized various events where we could invite the students we met: picnics, a talent show, girls’ and guys’ time, scavenger hunt, English movie night and so on. Many students got to hear about Jesus for the first time! Praise the Lord!

2. Our friend, sister and co-worker Tolu had to leave Krasnodar for good this week because of health problems. It was very unexpected for her and for all of us, and it is still hard to believe she is not here anymore. She lived and served the Lord in Krasnodar for 9 years. God touched so many lives, including each of us, through her. She brought people to Christ, discipled them, invested her life into many girls. We are so grateful to God for her and her ministry here, for an amazing example of a woman of God that she is and always will be for us. Please join us in prayer for Tolu! Pray for her health, for peace and comfort in the Lord and for adjustment back in the US.

Hey, friends!

Christ is risen!

I haven’t written here for a while, because this past month was really busy. God made a miracle – and sent a lot of students for us to make friends and share the Gospel with! This semester a lot of first and second year students started coming to our events. We made friends with many of them and there formed a group with whom we meet a few times every week for game nights, movie nights, small groups for seekers and so on. Not all of them are interested in hearing about Jesus yet.
Some people come to practice English with our American teammates or just to have fun, but we keep praying for them and encourage them to start thinking about spiritual questions, about purpose of their life, about God. But there are also a few students who are really open and who want to know more about God, and a few young believers, praise the Lord! Please pray that they would know and love God, grow in their relationship with Him and share their faith with their friends and families. Also please pray for our team – for wisdom in our time management, especially since there are many events we organize every week. We need wisdom not to get tired and to find time to invest into seekers and young believers.

Please pray for us this week especially, because in Russia Easter is on April 12, so this week we have a few meetings where we are hoping to share the Gospel with the students speaking about the meaning of the holiday.

Идиомы и новые ребята на английском клубе в КубГУ | Idioms and the new guys on the English club in KubSU

Один мой друг из церкви привел двух своих друзей на этот английский клуб. Эти ребята очень открыты к общению (одна из его друзей - девочка слева на фотографии, которая стоит в лицом к нам).

На этом клубе мы разговаривали об идиомах.

One of my friends from church brought his two friends on the English club. These guys are very open to dialogue (one of his friends - the girl on the left in the photo, which stands in the face to us).

At this club we talked about idioms.

Несмотря на то, что людей на клубе очень много (более 40 человек), на общение после клуба остаются не очень много ребят, может 2-6 человек (не считая наших).

Но этот клуб - очень хорошая возможность для знакомств. Надеюсь, что многие смогут найти Бога через общение с верующими, которые приходят на эти встречи.

Despite the fact that the people at the club very much (more than 40 people) to communicate after the club are not too many guys can 2-6 people (not including ours). 

But this club - a very good opportunity for dating. I hope that many will be able to find God through fellowship with believers who come to these meetings.

Today Dima M. (I wrote to you about him before, and he is a blessed brother, is very worried about the gospel) for the first time in my memory that led a group yourself.

Он хорошо подготовился. Хоть и были небольшие проблемки с ведением из-за отсутствия большого опыта, все прошло хорошо. Опыт - это дело наживное )

После группы и обсуждения темы, о том какой Бог и зачем Он все создал, мы с парнями сыграли в настольную игру. Это было очень хорошее время вместе. Думаю, что через такие мелочи после основной программы и строятся отношения.

After the group discussions and threads about what God is and for what reason He has created evrerthing, with the guys we played a board game. It was a very good time together. I think that in such trifles after the main program relationships built.

Имаджинариум у Алисы (2014-10-23)

Сражение титанов в гостях у Алисы в необычной игре #Имаджинариум . Оказалось, что у меня очень нестандартные ассоциации... необычно было узнать о себе такое )

Алиса наша сестра во Христе. Она не может часто приходить на общие встречи, потому что у нее маленький ребенок. Поэтому мы периодически приходим к ней в гости.

В этот раз она нас пригласила, чтобы поиграть в настольную игру в ассоциации. Это было очень интересное время вместе )

Благовестие на Родительский день 2014-04-28 - Христос Воскрес! Воистину Воскрес!

Родительский день - это праздник, в который все люди приходят на кладбище, едят там в воспоминание об умерших родителях и близких. Весь общественный транспорт города в этот день едет на кладбище. Это выходной день.

Мы стараемся благовествовать в этот день, потому что люди думают о жизни и смерти, открыты к Евангелию. Для них это радостная новость, что все воскреснут, что их родственники не умерли навсегда. Это был уже четвертый год, когда мы ходим благовествовать на кладбище.

Для наших ребят этот день - хорошая возможность тренироваться благовествовать, преодолевать страх. Например, одна Таня впервые пошла благовествовать в это день 2 года назад, а после того, часто благовествует. В этом году двое парней впервые участвовали в такой форме евангелизма.

Благовестие в этот день - это хорошо. Но для меня лучше то, что верующие начинают благовествовать с этого дня, потому что видят нужду в том, чтобы рассказывать другим об Иисусе.

Пусть Господь благословит христиан чаще благовествовать!

Parents' day is a holiday when almost everyone goes to a cemetery and eat there to remember and honor their relatives buried there. All public transportation in Krasnodar goes to the main cemetery this day. It is an official day-off for everyone.

We with our friends usually organize an outreach at the cemetery this day because this is the time when people are very open to the Gospel, as the cemetery is a good place to think about life and death. We tell them that their relatives will not always be dead, that they will rise in the last day, like all of us. It is a really good news for people that they can recieve eternal life in Christ. It is the forth year that we go to the cemetery to share the Gospel with people there.

This holiday is a good oppornunity for our young believers to overcome thier fears and start to share the Gospel. Tanya joined us and tried to share the Gospel with people two years ago at this holiday for the first time, and then she understood that she can do it and even enjoys it. Now she is a passionate evangelist who tries to tell everyone she meets about Jesus. Two of my friends, Goodluck and Dima, joined the cemetery outreach team for the first time this year. It was a new experience for both of them.

It's great we can go out and share the Gospel with many people this day (this year we gave out about 1000 booklets with explanation of the Gospel and had several very good conversations with people). But it brings me even more joy that believers make steps of faith this day, go out to people and tell them the Good News. And at the cemetery this day they see thousands of people who think about death and purpose of life and who are willing to her about Jesus.  

May God bless Christians and encourage them to share the Gospel more often.

Эксперимент - посещение рэп соревнования "Слово"

В конце этого дня я с моим другом, Юрой, отправились на рэп баттл "Слово". Это большое сообщество рэперов. Мероприятие очень не верующее. Если вкратце, то задача участников состоит в том, чтобы изощренно поматериться друг на друга...

Я хотел пообщаться с этими ребятами, потому что тот, что справа, участвует в этом соревновании. Я с ним знаком через поэтические клубы. Но пообщаться не удалось, потому что они были очень далеко от нас.

Мы не смогли быть до конца, потому что мероприятие крайне неприятное...

Знакомства на открытии Тату салона

Моя подруга пригласила меня на открытие тату салона ее друга. Для меня это была возможность познакомиться с новыми людьми. Особенно с ее друзьями.

Народа было очень много, сейчас популярность татуировок начинает увеличиваться.

Это владелец заведения ) Я познакомился с ним ) Надеюсь, что это знакомство еще пригодится.

А это моя подруга и ее друзья. Алиса (так зовут подругу, кстати, с ней мы делаем клуб АрхиПоэтика) занимается фотографией в направлении ЛОМО (можете посмотреть об этом по ссылке -->).

Закупаю книги для создания уличной библиотеки - идея для благовестия

Идея создания уличной библиотеки пришла мне в начале этого учебного года. С тех пор я потихоньку думаю об этом. Недавно случайно увидел объявление, что одна бабушка продает книги. Сегодня я купил их у нее.

Всего 44 книги классиков: поэтов и писателей.

Я собираюсь оставлять в книгах контакты для связи со мной, а также ссылки на мои веб-ресурсы, чтобы Господь мог работать с теми, кто не готов сейчас к прямому диалогу.

Это та библиотека, что я видел в нашем городе. Пока она только одна.

Эта библиотека будет пополняться участниками, то есть каждый под свою личную ответственность будет брать, а также может пополнять библиотеку. В больших городах есть такое движение - оно называется кросс букинг. Надеюсь, что у нас получится сделать что-то похожее с Божьей помощью. Где мы среди книг разных классиков литераторов, сможем пополнить библиотеку христианскими книгами.
