Coffee Night 23.8 Fm | Our joy and impressions

We hosted another Coffee Night, where more than 200 people came.

The joy for us is that this Coffee Night was organized and led by a new team. They did well! A lot of guys who had organized the Coffee Night before, were free to chat with the guests (This time I, Yura Voroshilov, was also among those lucky people, who had a chance to talk to our guests :)).

In the morning of that day, when the Coffee Night had to take place, I went to a seminar on small groups and mentoring. After the seminar, I felt bad, started to get cold. But God blessed me and gave me strength to go to the party.

This time we had a lot of guests and helpers. For example, girls from the nearby town, prepared a dance. A guy from another church made a Light show. 

I tried to get to know people. Frankly, it was difficult - it is always hard to meet new people. But this evening, I met a few new guys. Also a good indicator is that  some of them have added me in social networks, and it is a good chance to keep in touch with them and get to know them better.

Thank God, for the team that organized the Coffee Night! This is the blessing of God, without Him we would have failed to make such an event.

St. Valentine's Day party for PULSE team | Renewing the understanding of the Gospel

Last sunday, February 10, Nika and i organised a party for our friends and volunteers, who are actively involved with the youth movement PULSE.

We had a few goals for this event:

1. To bless our teammates and to let them rest, have fun and spend time with each other in an informal atmosphere, where they don't have to plan or lead anything, but can just relax and enjoy themselves.

2. Bring together everyone who is involved with PULSE, as the movement grew bigger, and people are split into 3 small groups, which meet weekly, but don't often closely interact with each other.

3. To talk about love, especially brotherly love among us, studying Bible verses about love and trying to apply them to our lives.

In order to do it, we chose St. Valentine's Day theme for the party.

Thank God, He helped us reach all of these goals and even more. The Lord helped us to focus on the Gospel one more time and to see its value and its meaning for our lives. Hearing and repeating the Good News many times often makes us forget what it is really about and how essential it is for each of us.

So, we thank God for reminding us what it means to be loved by God and to love each other like He loves us.

It was also great that our teammates invited their non-believing friends to the party, and they got to hear the Gospel too! Praise the Lord!

The verses, that we studied:

"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another" (Jn.13:34)

"Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much" (Jas.5:16)
