Small group for girls

As you might remember, in November 2013 my sister-in-law Anya and I organized a women’s home conference in our apartments – for our friends, girls from different churches and cities of the Krasnodar region.

After this conference a few girls asked me to start a small group for them, so that they could study the Bible and get to know the Lord more. Our first meeting took place in December, and now we re-started our weekly meetings after the New Year break. All the girls are different age - from 17 till 30! But we enjoy our time together! Two of the girls – Lilia and Yana – became believers only last year, and they have a lot of questions. Other girls have been believers for a long time already, but they want to remember the basics of Christianity and grow in their knowledge of God and their faith.

Right now we are going through lessons “Life principles” (or Follow-ups), developed by Campus Crusade for Christ. It is a wonderful resource for descipling those who have just come to know God. But it is also very good for those who became believers a long time ago.

Besides our weekly meetings, we are trying to build deeper relationships with the girls, to keep in touch with them during the week. Once we got together for a handmade night. And we all have hope that soon we can start regular girls’ handmade nights, where we could also invite our non-believing friends.
