Все казалось проще, чем оказалось - как мы делали информационные стенды для Дома Евангелия

В церкви Дом Евангелия плохая информированность, потому что нет указателей и информационных стендов. Из-за этого о многих служениях и возможностях многие люди не знают. Мы с Колей Х решили исправить эту ситуацию и сделать информационные стенды.

Казалось, что мы сможем сделать их за один день. Но это заняло несколько месяцев. Наконец-то мы их повесим в церкви.

п.с. забегая вперед, ибо пишу этот пост из будущего 2017 года, скажу, что мы, возможно, зря так торопились :-), потому что его до сих пор не заполнили. Висит фактически полностью пустой...

The past month was full of events we’d like to tell you about!

1. I took part in the Summer Project organized by New Life in Moscow. It was a new and a very useful experience for me. Over 50 students and volunteers from different cities of Russia together with a group of American students spent almost 2 weeks together, studying the Bible, worshipping the Lord together and meeting students in various universities, parks and malls of Moscow. Our goal was to share the Gospel with the students we meet and to introduce them to the team of staff and volunteers that constantly serve in Moscow, so that they could join the student movement there and get to know the Lord through it. During this time the Summer Project met a few hundred students, over 200 of them heard the Gospel for the first time, and 10 prayed to receive Christ. Please pray that God would keep working in their hearts and would help them get connected with a group of true believers who could help them grow.

Hello, Friends!

The last couple of months were filled with events, so I’d like to share some news with you.

1. In the middle of the May we had guests from America – a group of students that came to Krasnodar on a Summer Project. We had 2 great weeks together! In the morning we would go and meet students on 3 largest campuses of the city, and after lunch we organized various events where we could invite the students we met: picnics, a talent show, girls’ and guys’ time, scavenger hunt, English movie night and so on. Many students got to hear about Jesus for the first time! Praise the Lord!

2. Our friend, sister and co-worker Tolu had to leave Krasnodar for good this week because of health problems. It was very unexpected for her and for all of us, and it is still hard to believe she is not here anymore. She lived and served the Lord in Krasnodar for 9 years. God touched so many lives, including each of us, through her. She brought people to Christ, discipled them, invested her life into many girls. We are so grateful to God for her and her ministry here, for an amazing example of a woman of God that she is and always will be for us. Please join us in prayer for Tolu! Pray for her health, for peace and comfort in the Lord and for adjustment back in the US.

Коротко о событиях начале второго семестра (начало 2015 года)

Hey, friends!

Christ is risen!

I haven’t written here for a while, because this past month was really busy. God made a miracle – and sent a lot of students for us to make friends and share the Gospel with! This semester a lot of first and second year students started coming to our events. We made friends with many of them and there formed a group with whom we meet a few times every week for game nights, movie nights, small groups for seekers and so on. Not all of them are interested in hearing about Jesus yet.
Some people come to practice English with our American teammates or just to have fun, but we keep praying for them and encourage them to start thinking about spiritual questions, about purpose of their life, about God. But there are also a few students who are really open and who want to know more about God, and a few young believers, praise the Lord! Please pray that they would know and love God, grow in their relationship with Him and share their faith with their friends and families. Also please pray for our team – for wisdom in our time management, especially since there are many events we organize every week. We need wisdom not to get tired and to find time to invest into seekers and young believers.

Please pray for us this week especially, because in Russia Easter is on April 12, so this week we have a few meetings where we are hoping to share the Gospel with the students speaking about the meaning of the holiday.

На английском клубе очень много студентов!

Слава Христу! На английский клуб приходит очень много студентов. Туда прихожу и я, так как вход свободный.

Это место - уникальная возможность знакомиться со студентами и являть им Христа.

п.с. также приходится практиковать английский, что является косвенным благим результатом.

Помощь Стиву с отъездом домой в Америку

Almost the whole past month we spent helping our friend and brother in Christ, Steve, as he has to leave Russia with his family soon. He’s been living in Russia for many years now, and has already started to build a house. But now he has to sell everything and leave our country. And we decided to help him. I worried that it is something that distracts us from fulfilling our mission, because we could spend much less time with students, spending almost every day with Steve. But then I realized that it is something God wants us to do, it pleases Him. All these past years Steve was a huge encouragement and help in our movement. Many of the events we organized (such as Coffee Night and English camps) would have been impossible were it not for him and his family. He inspired all of us and helped us to dream big. And now he is facing this difficult situation, and it would be wrong to leave him alone now only because helping him move doesn’t seem like “doing ministry”. Like Onesiphorus, whom Paul gratefully remembers in his 2 Letter to Timothy, helped the apostle when he needed encouragement and practical help, we are called to do that also, when our brothers and sisters are in need. Please pray for Steve and his family as they are going through this period of their life.
