Родительский день - это праздник, в который все люди приходят на кладбище, едят там в воспоминание об умерших родителях и близких. Весь общественный транспорт города в этот день едет на кладбище. Это выходной день.
Мы стараемся благовествовать в этот день, потому что люди думают о жизни и смерти, открыты к Евангелию. Для них это радостная новость, что все воскреснут, что их родственники не умерли навсегда. Это был уже четвертый год, когда мы ходим благовествовать на кладбище.
Для наших ребят этот день - хорошая возможность тренироваться благовествовать, преодолевать страх. Например, одна Таня впервые пошла благовествовать в это день 2 года назад, а после того, часто благовествует. В этом году двое парней впервые участвовали в такой форме евангелизма.
Благовестие в этот день - это хорошо. Но для меня лучше то, что верующие начинают благовествовать с этого дня, потому что видят нужду в том, чтобы рассказывать другим об Иисусе.
Пусть Господь благословит христиан чаще благовествовать!
Parents' day is a holiday when almost everyone goes to a cemetery and eat there to remember and honor their relatives buried there. All public transportation in Krasnodar goes to the main cemetery this day. It is an official day-off for everyone.
We with our friends usually organize an outreach at the cemetery this day because this is the time when people are very open to the Gospel, as the cemetery is a good place to think about life and death. We tell them that their relatives will not always be dead, that they will rise in the last day, like all of us. It is a really good news for people that they can recieve eternal life in Christ. It is the forth year that we go to the cemetery to share the Gospel with people there.
This holiday is a good oppornunity for our young believers to overcome thier fears and start to share the Gospel. Tanya joined us and tried to share the Gospel with people two years ago at this holiday for the first time, and then she understood that she can do it and even enjoys it. Now she is a passionate evangelist who tries to tell everyone she meets about Jesus. Two of my friends, Goodluck and Dima, joined the cemetery outreach team for the first time this year. It was a new experience for both of them.
It's great we can go out and share the Gospel with many people this day (this year we gave out about 1000 booklets with explanation of the Gospel and had several very good conversations with people). But it brings me even more joy that believers make steps of faith this day, go out to people and tell them the Good News. And at the cemetery this day they see thousands of people who think about death and purpose of life and who are willing to her about Jesus.
May God bless Christians and encourage them to share the Gospel more often.
