The Lord Jesus Christ baptized a girl by us in Tuapse August 3, 2012, glory to Him!
Here's how it was:
Our sister in the Lord was sick, taking advantage of the very first opportunity, we went to visit her in the Tuapse city.
- At the meeting she told us how to hit the hospital. At the hospital, she felt that a few years of her Christian life, she wasn't baptize.
- We asked that it hurt to do it.
- She said that she had ideas about baptism: that she need to make a beautiful dress, very prepared for this day, it is desirable that this event occurred in one day with her husband and so on ... But now she just wants to be baptized in the Lord Jesus!
We remembered the many verses from the Bible, especially from the book of Acts where the apostles were baptized people who believed in Jesus Christ. The observation was unequivocal - the baptism always took place immediately after the people came to believe, that is professed Jesus Christ the Son of God, as Savior and Lord (the Bible, the Book of Acts 2:38, 8:36-38, 9:18, 10: 47-48, 16:14-15, 16:33, 19:5).
When we were at seaside, she asked for baptism, worrying that Satan will continue to interfere with a variety of ways to implement her baptism!
Obeying God, we baptized her!
Read the story of the book of Acts, which is similar to the situation:
"36 As they went along the road they came to some water; and the eunuch said, "Look! Water! What prevents me from being baptized?"
37 And Philip said, "If you believe with all your heart, you may." And he answered and said, "I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God."
38 And he ordered the chariot to stop; and they both went down into the water, Philip as well as the eunuch, and he baptized him.
39 When they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord snatched Philip away; and the eunuch no longer saw him, but went on his way rejoicing" (Ac.8:36-39)
We weren't snatche away by Spirit of the Lord immediately :), we left the next morning. Taking advantage of the time, Nika shared with Oksana what the Lord reveals to her through the Bible (they read Isaiah. 58).
Already at the train station, we have carried out the Eucharist in obedience to the Lord Jesus, who said to do this in remembrance of Him! (Special thanks to N.E. Aleshin, who outfitted us for this ordinance to all necessary)
We were joy and went on ...
